Often it is easy to relate to their activities. Sometimes they trigger a thought from the past. Usually, each time you look at them, you see something different. My picture story paintings continue my basic explorations into the interactions between ordinary people in everyday settings. They are part of my representational figurative paintings in a Contemporary Social Realism style, but each is with an emotional hook. Many later period Social Realism paintings, like mine, were bright and colorful, drawing in the viewer with their vibrancy. My paintings follow the contemporary trend of the last decade, where in the movement is being resurrected as figurative scenes. I specialize in manufacturing custom fine art porcelain tile murals. I work with professional, high resolution, digital scans (captures) of artist's work which can be scaled to virtually any size spanning across an array of tiles. Using inorganic pigments and fluxes fired at high kiln temperatures the licensed artwork is transformed into a permanent tile mural. The resultant surface is very durable and as such can be used for outdoor as well as indoor installations. For walking surfaces such as in wet locations, a fired-on slip resistant texture treatment is available.
